About the Masjid

A Place of Peace & Worship at NAU

The NAU Campus Masjid serves as a spiritual anchor for our diverse student body, faculty, and staff. Situated in a tranquil corner of the campus, the Masjid offers a welcoming and reverent atmosphere for all five daily prayers, Jumu'ah Salah, and individual worship throughout the day and night.

Equipped with clean ablution (wudu) areas, separate prayer sections for male and female worshippers, and a clear loudspeaker adhan system, the Masjid ensures a comfortable and dignified experience for every worshipper on campus.

Everything you need for a spiritually fulfilling and comfortable worship experience on campus.

Adhan System

A clear and audible loudspeaker adhan (call to prayer) system ensures that all five daily prayers are announced punctually across the campus premises.

Wudu Facility

Clean, well-maintained ablution (wudu) areas with adequate taps, seating, and separate entrances for male and female worshippers.

Separate Sections

Dedicated and fully private prayer halls for both male and female worshippers, each with its own entrance, wudu facility, and storage space for footwear.

Quran & Islamic Books

A selection of Quran copies (with and without translation), prayer guides, and Islamic literature available within the Masjid for reading and reference.

Jumu'ah Congregation

Weekly Friday Jumu'ah prayer with khutbah delivered by a qualified Imam. Open to all male students, faculty, and staff of the university.

Air-Conditioned Hall

A fully climate-controlled prayer hall providing a cool and comfortable environment throughout the year, especially during summer months.

Important Guidelines

Masjid Etiquette

Please observe the following guidelines to maintain the sanctity and cleanliness of the Masjid.

Remove Footwear

All worshippers must remove shoes at the entrance and place them in the designated shoe racks provided at the door.

Maintain Silence

Mobile phones must be switched to silent mode. Loud conversations are not permitted inside the prayer hall at any time.

Dress Modestly

All worshippers are required to dress in clean, modest, and appropriate clothing before entering the Masjid premises.

Keep it Clean

Please help maintain the cleanliness of the prayer area, wudu facility, and surrounding premises at all times.

No Food or Drinks

Food, beverages, and eating are strictly prohibited inside the Masjid to preserve the sanctity of the worship space.

Perform Wudu

All worshippers must perform ablution (wudu) before entering for prayer. Wudu facilities are available at both entrances.
