About Sports Complex

Where Champions Are Made

The NAU Sports Complex is a state-of-the-art multi-sport facility that provides students and staff with a wide range of indoor and outdoor sports activities. Spread across a large area of campus, the complex features a cricket ground, football field, basketball and volleyball courts, a badminton hall, a gym, and much more. Managed by a dedicated physical education department, the complex regularly hosts inter-departmental tournaments, inter-university competitions, and annual sports events that build camaraderie and sportsmanship among students.

What We Offer

The NAU Sports Complex is equipped with modern facilities to support every student's athletic journey.

Multi-Sport Grounds
Two dedicated outdoor grounds — one cricket ground with a proper pitch and one football/multi-purpose field — maintained by the sports department year-round.
Indoor Sports Hall
A covered indoor hall hosting badminton courts, table tennis tables, and a carrom area — available for students during daytime and evening hours.
Gymnasium
A fully equipped gym with treadmills, weight machines, free weights, and exercise cycles. Open for all students and staff under the supervision of a physical trainer.
Annual Sports Gala
NAU hosts an Annual Sports Gala with inter-departmental and inter-university competitions in cricket, football, badminton, and athletics. Winners receive medals and trophies.
Qualified Coaches
Experienced physical education instructors and coaches are available to guide students in sports training, fitness routines, and match preparation.
First Aid Station
A dedicated first aid station is available within the sports complex premises for immediate medical assistance during training sessions and competitions.

Floodlit Grounds Outdoor grounds are equipped with floodlights for evening play sessions.
Changing Rooms & Showers Separate changing rooms and shower facilities for male and female students.
Equipment Store Sports equipment including bats, balls, nets, and rackets available on loan from the store.
Spectator Seating Covered seating area for spectators during inter-university and departmental matches.
Dedicated Parking Parking area near the sports complex entrance for students and visiting teams.
Drinking Water Points Filtered drinking water dispensers placed at multiple points within the complex.
CCTV Surveillance Round-the-clock CCTV coverage ensures security throughout the sports complex.
Clean Washrooms Hygienic and well-maintained washroom facilities available for all users.

Sports complex timings may change during examination periods, special events, or university holidays. Students are advised to check the physical education department notice board or inquire at the sports office for the latest schedule.

Sports Complex Rules & Regulations

All students and staff must follow these rules to ensure fair use, safety, and a positive sporting environment for everyone.

University ID Required

Students must carry their valid NAU student ID card to access the sports complex and borrow equipment from the sports store.

Proper Sports Attire

Students must wear appropriate sports shoes and clothing. Street footwear and formal wear are not allowed inside the courts or gym area.

No Smoking / Food Inside

Smoking, eating, and bringing outside food inside the courts, gym, or indoor hall is strictly prohibited to maintain cleanliness and safety.

Return Equipment on Time

All borrowed equipment from the sports store must be returned before closing time. Damage to equipment may result in disciplinary action.

Fair Play & Respect

Aggressive behavior, unsportsmanlike conduct, or disrespect towards fellow players, coaches, or staff will not be tolerated and may lead to suspension.

Keep the Complex Clean

Students are responsible for keeping courts, the gym, and common areas clean. Dispose of waste in designated bins and leave facilities in good condition.
